Ever thought it would be funny to mix techno and live jazz? Well, Carl Craig has done it. And it sounds awsome too. This album is the most innovative thing we've heard for years. Carl Craig, one of the pioneer of the Chicago sound, mixes everything with its opposite, tortures sounds, fidgets on his chair, drinks coffee, can't sleep, fiddles with the buttons on the desk, invites real musicians (THE sin), jams with them, gets excited, gets nervous, gets depressed, drinks more coffee, gets out, gets in, and again, he cries, he shouts, gets ungry, gets frustrated, drinks even more coffee, becomes insane, and sane again... This never ends. He should watch his back. Making records like this is not permited. Who will understand? Who would try? Who would dare? As the sleeve notes say about one of the track, "(this is like) Miles remixing Stockhausen", and this is applicable to the entire album. A very demanding, very difficult record. A very beautiful one it is too. Chapeau bas monsieur Craig for trying... and blowing the scoring board away!
