Vince
Clarke and Alison Moyet only released two albums in the early eighties,
the amazing Upstairs at Eric's, in 1982, and a year later, You
And Me Both, but they've defined a sound recognisable to this
day. They've had, since then, particularly successful careers, Vince as
one half of Erasure, and Alison on her own.
This compilation brings
toghether the very best of the two albums. Songs like Midnight,
Anyone
or Winter Kills haven't aged, or so little. Don't Go, Situation
or Only You are classics, and there again, these tracks don't sound
like they've been recorded nearly 20 years ago. And the 99 remixes only
show than the originalS didn't need any fuss to sound good.
