SPUNK RELEASE THIRD ALBUM AND CELEBRATE TENTH ANNIVERSARY
13 December 2005
All-female Norwegian avant-guarde free improvisation outfit Spunk will be releasing their third album on Rune Grammofon in February. The album, En Aldeles Forferdelig Sykdom, is currently only available in Norway, but it will be released in the rest of Europe on 13 February. This is the third effort from the band formed by Maja Ratkje, Kristin Andersen, Hild Sofie Tafjord and Lene Grenager, and is released to coincide with the band’s tenth anniversary. The album, which, like its predecessors, bears a title referring to Swedish Children’s books fictional character Pippi Långstrump (Pippi Longstocking), was produced by Jørgen Træen, who has previously worked with Jaga Jazzist, Magnet and Sondre Lerche and is also one half of Toy. |
