NEW
LEAFCUTTER JOHN ALBUM IN THE SPRING
4 January 2006 |
 |
Experimental
musician Leafcutter
John is set to return with a new albm, almost three
years after The
Housebound Spirit. The album, entitled The
Forest & The Sea, tells the story of two people
who have to spend a night in a forest after they become
lost, and wake up on a cliff top. The album, which combines
electronics and acoustic songs, and is something of a
departure for ‘Leafcutter’
John Burton, was conceived after he took a year off
music. The Forest & The Sea, which features
guest appearances by drummer Seb Rochford and bassist
Tom Herbert from Mercury Prize nominees Polar Bear, of
which Burton is a full-time member, is due to be released
on 5 June on German label Staubgold. For more info, check
out the Leafcutter
John website. |
