Kieran Hebden & Steve Reid Kieran Hebden and legendary drummer Steve Reid will be supporting the release of the first volume in the Exchange Sessions series on Domino on 27 February with a series of concerts in the US and Europe, as follow: Los Angeles, US (28/03), San Francisco, US (30/03), New York, US (1 & 3/04), Chicago, US (5/04), Brussels, BE (13/04), Amesterdam, NL (14/04), Rotterdam, NL (15/04), Reggio Emilia, IT (22/04), London, UK (26/04). Vizier Of Damascus Vizier Of Damascus will be showcasing the beautiful electronic textures of his recent EP for Rednetic and forthcoming releases for his own Tree Symmetry imprint and Clickclickdrone at the next Projector event at the Social on Tuesday 28 February, with additional sets from Zoltan Kodaly School For Girls, described as the world’s first all-female post-modern recorder quartet, Neushul Avant Rural Sound System and Zainetica. TOUCH CELEBRATE 25TH ANNIVERSARY

The festivities will kick off with the following series of events: Label spotlight, Göteborg, Sweden (11/03), Touch Live with Fennesz and Philip Jeck, Prague, Czech Republic (13/04), label spotlight with Philip Jeck, London, UK (5/05), Spire live at St. Michael’s Cathedral as part of Les Nuits Botaniques festival, Brussels, Belgium (7/05), Spire live at Leeds Town Hall as part of Fuse Festival, Leeds, UK (12/05), Spire live as Jesmond Church, Newcastle, UK (13/05), Soire live at Oude Kerk, Amsterdam, Netherlands (24/06). NEW CHRIST. EP AND ALBUM ON BENBECULA

Christ. Details have been announced about Christ.’s forthcoming album and limited edition twelve inch EP, both due out on Benbecula. The album, Blue Shift Emissions, the follow-up to Christ.’s brilliant 2003 album Metamorphic Reproduction Miracle and 2005 EP Seeing & Doing, is due out late summer 2006 and will be preceded by a special limited twelve inch EP entitled Vernor Vinge, released on 3 April. COLDCUT TO TOUR THE UK IN FEBRUARY

Coldcut Following the release of Sound Mirrors, their first album in ten years, Coldcut will be playing a string of UK dates accompanied by vocalists Mike Ladd, Robert Owen and Mpho Skeef. Dates as follow: Oxford (17/02), Bexhill (18/02), Nottingham (19/02), Manchester (22/02), Birmingham (23/02), London (25/02). The London date will also feature special appearances from Roots Manuva, Jon Spencer, Juice Aleem and Jon Matthias plus a DJ set from Ross Allen. NEW ISAN SINGLE AND LIVE DATE ANNOUNCED
8 February 2006
Isan Isan have announced details of a new 7” single to be released on Morr Music. The single, a cover version of Erik Satie’s Trois Gymnopedies, will be the first new material from Robin Saville and Antony Ryan since their 2004 album Meet Next Life. The single will be released on 3 April and will be followed by an as-yet untitled new album. No date has been announced for the album. The band will also play live at the Loom Festival in Nottingham on Sunday 26 February alongside Ceephax Acid Crew, Geiom, Max Tundra and many more. THE ORB, BOOM BIP, DNTEL AND JOHN TEJADA LIVE IN LOS ANGELES

The Orb Los Angeles’s Walt Disney Concert Hall will play host to a dazzling event on Saturday 18 March, with live performances from The Orb, Dntel, John Tejada and Boom Bip. This concert, the opening event of the Phils Minimalist Jukebox, a three-week festival curated by composer John Adams, will kick off at 11.59pm on Saturday 18 March and will go on until 6am the next morning. While The Orb are set to play the main auditorium, Boom Bip, Dntel and John Tejada, plus visual artists yet to be confirmed, will perform in surrounding spaces at various times. CHRIS CLARK UK TOUR AND EXCLUSIVE NEW MATERIAL

Chris Clark Chris Clark will be touring the UK this February and March with 65daysofstatic, and will be releasing an exclusive 3inch CD 5-track EP of brand new tracks to coincide with the tour. The EP, entitled Throttle Furniture, features one track, Herr Barr, taken from Clark’s third album, due out later this year. The four other tracks are exclusive to this limited edition release. The EP, his first new material since 2003's Empty The Bones Of You, will be made available from Warpmart and Bleep only from 25 February.
