SOFALOFA
PERFORMS LIVE AT THE NATIONAL SPACE CENTER

SofaLofa’s
Chris Cousin will be supporting the recent release of
his debut album, Mellifluous,
with a specially commissioned live performance of the
album at the National Space Centre in Leicester on Saturday
18 March 2006. Presented in 5.1 surround sound in the
Space Center’s planetarium, SofaLofa
will be joined by electronic musician Stuart Smith and
on of the UK’s leading electroacoustic artists,
John Richards, while Sean Clark, who has previously worked
with ambient artists such as Biosphere
and Higher Intelligence
Agency, will be projecting live video onto a 360 degree
cinema screen with DMX lighting to immerse the audience

BRISTOL
WELCOMES THIRD EDITION OF VENN FESTIVAL

Bristol
will play host to the third edition of the Venn Festival
between 2-4 June 2006 in the Stokes Croft quarter of the
city. The line up is not fully available yet, but artists
confirmed so far include Vashti
Bunyan, Ariel Pink, Scion, Cobra Killer, Max
Richter, The Chap, Volcano The Bear, Kode 9, Robin
Fox, The Asstroids, Chris Corsano, Vialka, Bass Clef,
Tape and Crescent.

Triptych
2006 will take place from Wednesday 26 April to Sunday
30 April 2006 in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen. The
festival, now in its eighth year, will once again feature
a wide range of artists, genres and events over five days.

Seed
Records are throwing a party in at a secret location in
London on Friday 31 March. Soviet London is a new monthly
clubnight residency and follows the label’s infamous
tube station parties. The first party will take place
over three rooms and see live performances from Moeselektor,
Neil Landstruum, B12, Ardisson, Snapmouth and Electro
Elvis & Lula (main room) plus MoQ (Bleep.com room),
plus DJ sets from Seed DJs, Wheels Instead Of Hooves.
