This
is a single. But we've decided to include it here because
1) it is probably one of the longest single ever, and
2) we love Autechre. Two good reasons then!
This ep is the follow up to LP5, Autechre's fifth
album. And here, they continue their search for uncharted
territories, with a further adventure into distorted sounds,
that see them coming back at their best after the little
disapointment of the album. Booth and Brown offer more
variety here, more mind challenging landscapes, where
mother nature insist to grow life despite the fact that
there is no easy ground where to root in peace. The machines
have definitely gone mad and plant, plant and plant. Oh
yeah, because mother nature has been replaced by a sort
of countryside Robocop. Not easy to follow, isn't it,
but once you've managed to understand how it works (or
how it doesn't), you're in for a trip you're not ready
to forget.
